No offense toBlake LivelyandJennifer Aniston, but I’m inclined to disagree that they, unequivocally, have the best hair in Hollywood, despite countless slightly hysterical headlines proving otherwise. They havegoodhair, indeed, but so do plenty of other famous women who rarely get attention for their loose waves, next-level highlights, or experimental cuts.

Since there’s such an emphasis right now on slightly grungy, IDGAF styles—cool-girl hair, if you will—it’s getting harder and harder to consider typical Hollywood hair the gold standard. Personally, I’d take most celebrities’ gym hair any day of the week rather than their “premiere” hair—a legitimate messy bun or flat roots with subtle texture on the ends just feels so much more right now than bouncy bombshell waves or flatironed-into-oblivion strands.

I think about hair a lot—I’m kind of a slave to mine—which is how I started to realize there’s a whole world of famous ladies to choose from when bringing a photo to my stylist, none of whom’s style runs the risk of somehow translating into “The Rachel.” Take a look at 25 here, and let me know in the comments which celebs you think deserve more attention for their #flawless hair.

Jessica Chastain
Let's call it movie star hair: Always sleek, glossy, elegantly waved, Chastain's hair is reminiscent of Old Hollywood, whether it's long or collarbone length.

Margot Robbie
Robbie gets a ton of rightful attention for her overall hotness, but she's been killing it lately with her rooty beige-blonde shade and cool-girl waves—much more flattering and modern than her former platinum color.

Photo:

Haim
Choosing which Haim sister has cooler hair is like asking your mom to choose if she likes you or your sister better.

Photo:

Solange Knowles
We flip for Solange's next-level wardrobe, but forget her entire vibe is usually dictated by her chameleon hair. Afros, braids, buns, buzzed—she does it all, and always looks like the most modern girl in the room.

Photo:

Emily Ratajakowski
Emily gets credit for knowing what works for her, and she never strays: a deep chestnut brown color, subtle waves, soft layers, and a glossy sheen.

Scarlett Johansson
Why didn't more people pay attention to the fact that the actress recently ditched her typical Hollywood waves for a sexy cropped cut?

Katharine McPhee
The queen of good highlights and color swaps, Kat regularly and seamlessly goes from cool brown with light streaks to true blonde—and manages to look gorgeous with both.

Photo:

Kate Mara
Mara hasfunwith her hair, and in the last year or two has played with wavy bobs, pixies, and stick-straight crops, as well as a variety of colors.

Photo:

Allison Williams
The definition of rich-girl hair, the "Girls" star's mane is nothing if not polished, shiny, and bouncy without looking dated.

Photo:

Zosia Mamet
If her costar Allison Williams has rich-girl hair, Zosia has hipster hair: The "Girls" actress has rocked everything from platinum to pink shades, and plays with bangs, bobs, and layers.

Photo:

Minka Kelly
The "Friday Night Lights" actress's hair always looks polished without appearing too "done"—even when she's walking a red carpet.

Photo:

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
The ultimate hair crush, whether it's long, short, or in between.

Photo:

Jennifer Hudson
Few women make short hair look as chic as Jennifer ...

Photo:

Nicole Richie
... And Nicole. But before she cut it all off, Richie's had long extensions, a violet bob, and an icy silver shade. #HairGoals.

Photo:

Cara Delevingne
Eyebrows, schmibrows—the girl has one of the best heads of hair in fashion.

Photo:

Georgina Chapman
A master class in well-placed caramel highlights.

Photo:

Michelle Williams
Few actresses appear more modern than Williams—her chic bob and icy shade is more suited to the streets of Brooklyn than the red carpet (in the best way possible).

Photo:

Jennifer Lopez
J.Lo gets attention for her amazing body and ageless face, but rarely do we talk about her tousled, perfectly highlighted hair.

Photo:

Gigi Hadid
The model isn't someone you'd expect to play with her hair as much as she does, but in recent months, she's added faux bangs, rocked a faux bob, and sexed it up with bombshell waves.

Photo:

Jamie Chung
A strong case for ombre.

Photo:

Lily Cole
The British actressobviously is either a fairy or a wood nymph.

Photo:

Olivia Palermo
#Flawless.

Photo:

Josephine Skriver
The Victoria's Secret Angel's hair is, without fail, as sexy as every other feature.

Patina Miller
The actress slays the wavy lob, every time.

Rachel McAdams
Queen of the cool-girl flip.
